* If a grating is mounted in the spectrograph, it will be indicated at the bottom of the ''Instrument Setup'' pane, e.g. ''gr8'' in the ''Grating'' field shows that Grating 8 is installed. Above that is the ''Grating angle'' field.
* If you need to change to a different grating, follow these instructions the steps below (being EXTREMELY careful not to touch, or even breathe on, the optical surface):
Grating Change Instructions:
* set the grating angle to 0 deg in the SpUpNIC control GUI
* set the telescope vertical
