===Grating angle change instructions with the temporary brake in place===
- Unplug the USB cable from the rear-of-slit camera
- Undo the bolts to remove the shield that protects the rear-of-slit camera
- Remove the 4 M5 bolts that secure the south cover to the interface plate
- Undo the toggle clamps that hold the covers together
- Partially retract the south cover of the instrument (it need not be fully removed, just opened enough to be able to access the brake)
- Before changing the grating angle, slack off the 4 black M3 bolts on the grating brake (inside the instrument) to release the brake
- In the software, go to the ''Config'' tab, click the ''Unlock'' button, and enter the password
- Still on the ''Config'' tab, click the ''Deactivate Grating Brake'' button (this will change to say ''Apply Grating Brake'')
- After the grating brake has been released in software, the initialise grating angle and the grating angle ''Go'' buttons will be enabled
- Initialise the grating on the ''Advanced'' tab
- In the ''Main View'' tab, enter the required grating angle and click the ''Go'' button
- The observer will need to take arcs and compare them to arc maps in the old spectrograph manual, or in the table above
- They will adjust the angle until they are happy with the set of arc lines landing on the CCD
- Enable the physical brake on the grating (inside the instrument) by tightening the 4 black bolts
- Tighten the bolts '''''carefully''''' to avoid disrupting the grating (one could slightly change the angle and the process will need to be repeated)
- Take an arc to make sure that the lines did not move significantly
- Once the desired angle has been set and the arc still looks good, click ''Apply Grating Brake'' in the ''Config'' tab
- Then apply the software lock (to disable grating angle changes) on the ''Config'' tab
- Close up the south cover of the instrument and fasten the toggle clamps
- Replace the 4 M5 bolts through the interface plate to secure the cover
- Re-attach the shield for the rear-of-slit camera
- Plug in the USB cable for the rear-of-slit camera
- Restart the lodestar camera interface to check that the camera is operational
